NSC SPRING CUP

The NSC Spring Cup is open to all teams (club, intraclub, interclub and tournament teams) that participate in the U9-U19 age divisions and are registered and in good standing with their state and/or national association for 2010. Teams are accepted on a first-come first-serve basis.

 

The tournament will be conducted as one “open” flight. The tournament reserves the right to combine age groups, depending on the total number of teams in identified age divisions. Teams will be notified prior to the tournament if groups are to be combined. In addition, an age group may be flighted to help parity of competition if a group exceeds eight teams.

2010 Tournament Schedule

  • »  April 9: Application and deposit deadline
  • »  April 16: Preliminary roster and player fees deadline
  • »  April 19: Schedules posted online
  • »  April 23: Final roster/late-add player fees due
  • »  April 24: Final Team Check-in, World Cup group matches will begin
  • »  April 25: Play-off and Championship Matches

U9/10 Flights Feature

  • »  50-minute games
  • »  Four-game guarantee, no playoffs
  • »  No standings or scores kept
  • »  One official per game
  • »  6v6 format
  • »  All players receive a gift

U11-U12 Flights Feature

  • »  50-minute games; 60-minute finals
  • »  World Cup groups, top teams advance to playoffs
  • »  Three-game guarantee

  • »  8v8 format
  • »  1st and 2nd place teams receive medals
  • »  Each team receives a Select game ball

U13-U19 Flights Feature

  • »  60-minute games

  • »  1st and 2nd place teams receive medals

Awards

Each player who is on first or second place team will receive a medal and coach will receive a trophy.

Fee

  • »  $27 per player fee. $162 deposit at time of application will be applied to total player fee balance.
  • »  Refund Policy
    • »  Teams dropping from the tournament prior to April 1 will receive a voucher in the amount of the tournament fees. The voucher may be used by any team in any age group within the club. The voucher may be used for the 2010 tournament only.
    • »  Teams dropping from the tournament April 10 and after will not receive a voucher.
    • »  Weather Cancellation Policy. If cancellation of the tournament occurs due to spring weather conditions, each team will receive a voucher in the amount of the tournament fees and may be used for 2010 events only. This does not apply to weather delays, shortened andor rescheduled games.
