ADULT SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Summer Clinics June 23-August 19, 2010

 

 

This unique adult skills clinic is open to all skill levels, both male and female. The emphasis is on both individual player development and team player development.

Player Development Features

  • »  Emphasis on general skills such as power skating, stick handling, passing, shooting, scoring, speed and agility training.
  • »  Proper form for each skill learned through demonstration and analysis.
  • »  Each player will leave this program with the knowledge of how and why they must master these skills.
    NEW: Scrimmage sessions will be scheduled for additional ice time. Participants will have the opportunity to apply individual skills and team concepts in a game situation.

Team Player Development Features

  • »  Emphasis on the importance of team play and how to utilize each player on your team.
  • »  Players will understand the importance of each position on the ice.
  • »  Player will learn offensive, defensive, neutral zone, and breakout strategies.

Clinics Offered

  • »  Beginner Co-ed Clinics: For skaters just starting out in hockey or skaters that have not been on the ice for some time. Our staff will start with the basics and introduce you to the general skills of the game.
  • »  Intermediate Co-ed: For skaters that want to advance from our Beginner Clinics or have some hockey background. Our staff will continue with the basics and general skills but will also add in flow drills and light competition.

On-Ice Training

Each participant will receive eight, 1 hour practices. All practices held at the Schwan Super Rink.

Team Training

Do you already play on an existing team? Let us help make your team better. Each team will receive eight, 1 hour 15 minute practices coached by our staff. Your practice plans will be determined by your teams overall ability. Our staff will be on the ice pushing you to become better. This program will offer general skill progression, flow-drills and scrimmage time. Your team can also choose what day of the week and time of day that's best for you. Fee

  • »  $125 per person, 8 weeks for skaters
  • »  $40 per person, 8 weeks for goalies
  • »  $1,800 per team (15 minimum, no maximum)
  • »  Note: We must have 15 skaters minimum to offer session.

Equipment

Required equipment helmet, shin pads, elbow pads and gloves. Full equipment is recommended.
